AI: Dashboard & Insights

Your AI assistant can pull project metrics and provide insights without you needing to open the dashboard.

Your AI assistant can pull project metrics and provide insights without you needing to open the dashboard.

Project Dashboard

"How's the project looking?" "Show me the dashboard for the API project"

The AI retrieves comprehensive project stats:

  • 📊 Status breakdown — How many items are Todo, In Progress, Done, and Blocked
  • 🎯 Type distribution — Counts by type (Stories, Bugs, Tasks, etc.)
  • Priority spread — How many items at each priority level
  • 📝 Story points by status — Points completed vs. remaining
  • 🔴 Blocked items — List of items that need attention
  • Recently completed — Items finished recently

Smart Recommendations

"What should I work on next?" "What are the top priority items that are ready to pick up?"

The AI uses the recommendation engine to suggest items that are:

  • Highest priority
  • Have all dependencies resolved (nothing blocking them)
  • Ready to be worked on

This is smarter than just sorting by priority — it considers the dependency graph to find items that are actually actionable.

"Find all items related to payment processing" "Search for WEB-42"

Search works across your entire organization — all workspaces and projects. Results include both work items and projects.

Example: Status Report

Here's a powerful workflow — ask your AI to generate a status report:

"Give me a status report for the current sprint. Include what's done, what's in progress, what's blocked, and any risks."

The AI combines dashboard data, sprint summary, and blocked items to give you a comprehensive overview you can share with stakeholders.

Tips

  • 💡 The recommendation engine is great for daily planning — it tells you what's actually ready to work on.
  • 💡 Dashboard data reflects the current state in real time — the AI always gets fresh numbers.
  • 💡 Combine insights with actions: "Show me blocked items and add a comment on each asking for an update."
