Editing Work Items

Click any work item to open the detail modal — a full-featured editor where you can view and update everything about the item.

Layout

The modal has two areas:

Left side — Content tabs:

  • 🗒️ Description — Rich text area for detailed notes, requirements, or instructions. Supports markdown formatting and @mentions.
  • 🤖 AI Context — Notes specifically for AI tools (like the MCP integration) to understand what this item needs.
  • 📎 Attachments — Upload and manage files related to this item.
  • 💬 Comments — A timeline of comments and activity — discuss the item with your team.
  • ⏱️ Time — Log hours spent working on this item.

Right side — Properties:

  • Type, Status, Priority, Assignee, Sprint (Scrum only), Story Points, Estimated Hours, and Tags.

Making Changes

Update any field and click Save. Changes are validated before saving — if something is wrong, you'll see an error message.

Resizing & Moving

The modal can be resized by dragging its edges and moved by dragging the header. Your preferred size is remembered for next time.

Closing the Modal

You can close it by:

  • Clicking the X button
  • Pressing Escape (if enabled in your preferences)
  • Clicking the backdrop outside the modal (if enabled in your preferences)

If you have unsaved changes, you'll be asked to confirm before closing.
